- ON VALENTINE’S DAY WE WANT YOU TO TRADE IN YOUR CLUNKERS! No, we don’t mean your old lovers, boyfriends or husbands; just lots of old balls of yarn. From 11:00 am to 3:00 pm you may bring in your unwanted yarn, unfinished (rippable) projects, even half used balls. For every 1 pound of yarn you leave with us (we will weigh it), you will receive a $2.00 certificate toward a yarn purchase at Gotta Knit that day. Best yet, we will have a list of charities to which you may donate your yarn. This is definitely a win win event… and so much fun!
- Learn to knit on two circular needles in the round: On February 18th, In conjunction with The City Bakery’s Hot Chocolate Month, Gotta Knit! will be donating our time and expertise to further our love of knitting. - Laura’s Design class: Have you ever seen the perfect sweater in a fashion magazine and wanted to knit it yourself, but could not write the pattern? Have you ever seen a beautiful garment in a knitting magazine but the yarn is no longer available? Or the gauge is 8 stitches to the inch and you refuse to knit with anything less than a #10 needle? Or the neck is just all wrong for you, and you want to change it? Is every commercial pattern you’ve ever looked at just the wrong size for you? If you have answered “yes” to any of these questions, you just have to take our design class: February 21st and 28th from 2:00-4:00pm
